Be an Expert - Etsy's new shop design
The new Etsy shop designs go live next week on the 5th of April. Is your shop ready to embrace the new look? You can read all about it here: https://www.etsy.com/seller-handbook/article/your-shop-home-in-a-brand-new-design/39964431073
You can play around with the new look before it goes live by going to 'your shop' then the blue 'edit new shop' button. Be aware that any changes you make to the policies and about page will go live straight away, but if you're uploading a cover photo that won't be visible until the 5th of April.
One of the big new changes is that Etsy are standardising shop policies, which you can read more about here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/seller-handbook/article/add-clear-policies-to-your-shop-in-just/39972427549 If you have your shop policies filled in at the moment you can keep them for now, but it looks like you might be forced to use the Etsy ones in the future. And you will not receive the same search boost as the shops which DO change to the new policies.

The spring flowers are blooming and the evenings are getting lighter so Christmas feels a million miles away but if you would like to be a stallholder at this year's Dorset Team Christmas Fair you have just two days to get your application in.

The fair will be held in Wimborne on Saturday 3rd December and will have 70 stalls from Dorset Etsy Team sellers.

Be an Expert - Getting featured on Etsy
Have you wondered what you need to do to be featured on Etsy Picks?

You can't submit to be featured - the Etsy team just keep searching for items to feature. So making sure your shop looks great and has good SEO is essential. You should also think about upcoming trends and seasonal purchases that Etsy might be creating picks for soon - they often do the same each year, and others will follow trends. Keep an eye on what the official Etsy UK FB page / Twitter / Instagram are sharing or what hashtags they are using which you could use too so you get on their radad!

Community News - Lynn from Nemeton hits 2000 sales!
For our community news feature today we are so excited to share that Dorset Team member Lynn from Nemeton has reached a huge milestone and has just recently made her 2000th Etsy sale!
This is a huge achievement, congratulations Lynn!
Lynn has been on Etsy for many years and makes beautiful handmade beaded jewellery as well as selling DIY beading kits and bead 'treasure boxes'. She has recently written a book and often makes jewellery for competitions.
